OUR STORY
Stratton didn’t start with a plan.
It started with frustration.
We’re designers and engineers by trade. For years, through our consultancy Innovation Developments, we helped clients bring ambitious ideas to life — only to watch many of them stall before they ever reached the real world. The process was misunderstood. Momentum was lost. Good ideas went nowhere.
So in 2019, we decided to prove a point.
We built something ourselves.
WHY LOUDSPEAKERS?
Because we care deeply about music.
Dave has always been obsessed with loudspeakers. Amy lives and breathes music — playing it, listening to it, feeling it. Loudspeakers sit at the point where engineering meets emotion, and that mattered to us.
But we also knew our limits. Design and product engineering are our world — acoustics wasn’t.
THE MISSING PIECE
That’s where Phil came in.
Phil is an acoustic engineer with decades of experience, and bringing him on board transformed Stratton. Suddenly, we had the right balance: deep acoustic expertise paired with a completely different way of thinking about products.
Four people. Different disciplines. One shared standard.
A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW
We didn’t grow up in the audio industry — and that’s deliberate.
Without decades of inherited assumptions, we were free to question everything. Why designs all look the same. Why sound quality is discussed in technical abstractions. Why cables get more attention than how music actually makes you feel.
We came at this as designers first.
Focused on clarity, emotion and honesty.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Great loudspeakers should sound extraordinary — and belong in your space.
Luxury isn’t excess.
It’s restraint, integrity and purpose.
We believe music should move you, not confuse you. And that thoughtful design and serious performance should never be mutually exclusive.
WHERE WE ARE GOING
Stratton exists to challenge complacency.
We’re here to raise expectations — for sound, for design, and for the experience of listening to music at home. Guided by brilliant mentors, grounded in engineering, and driven by a genuine love of music.
We’re not interested in producing more of the same.
We’re here to make it better.
